what IS KNITTing FABRIC?
Knitted fabric is formed by knitting elements and surfaces as a result of binding the yarn with the previous loop and the next loops. Knitted fabrics are the following general owners:
General Properties of Knitted Fabrics
- The elasticity of knitted fabrics inherent in their nature and the ability to recover after stretching,
- Adaptation according to body movements,
- They do not require any ironing.
- Loops easily run away and unravel.
- They shrink unless they are stabilized.
- The thickness and weight diversity that can be worn in all seasons of the year is valid for knitted fabrics. Again, they provide better heat than woven fabrics with the same meter-tulle weight.
- Knitted fabrics do not have as strong covering properties as woven fabrics. Knitted fabrics can keep warm in cold weather conditions.
